Seam Ripper

KANSAS CITY REGIONAL QUILT FESTIVAL 2017

THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR FOR THIS LARGE 3-DAY QUILT SHOW. THURSDAY AND FRIDAY THE HOURS ARE 10AM TO 6PM. ON SATURDAY THE HOURS ARE 10AM TO 5PM. WE WERE TOO LATE TO REGISTER AS A VENDOR IN 2015, BUT WE WALKED THE SHOW FLOOR, AND IT WAS AWESOME!

SAWYER CREEK ARTISTRY WILL BE FEATURING OUR HAND TURNED WOODEN SEAM RIPPERS. RIPPERS ARE MADE FROM NATIVE OZARK WOODS INCLUDING CEDAR, CHERRY, OAK, WALNUT, LOCUST AND WALNUT. THE ONLY IMPORTED WOOD WE CARRY IS OLIVE WOOD FROM THE HOLY LAND.  WE HAVE 2 STYLES AVAILABLE –  A COMBO STYLE WITH A SEAM RIPPER ON ONE END AND A STILETTO ON THE OTHER, AND A NECKLACE VERSION WITH A SEAM RIPPER THAT HANGS AROUND YOUR NECK AND WON’T ROLL OFF YOUR SEWING TABLE!

RICH WILL ALSO HAVE SOME OF HIS YARN BOWLS AVAILABLE IN DIFFERENT WOODS. KNITTERS AND CROCHETERS WILL LOVE THESE. FOR CROCHETERS, WE NOW HAVE A LOVELY 7-PIECE CROCHET KIT THAT INCLUDES A TURNED WOODEN HANDLE WITH 6 ALUMINUM CROCHET HOOKS, SIZES C – H. THE KIT COMES IN ITS OWN BOX WITH SPACES FOR ALL THE HOOKS.

OTHER WOODEN TOOLS INCLUDE SEAM PRESSES AND BINDING WINDERS. COME VISIT OUR BOOTH AND SEE WHAT NEW AT SAWYER CREEK ARTISTRY.

Turned Seam Rippers

Hand crafted seam rippers from native Ozark woods

 Hand Made Seam Rippers

Sawyer Creek seam rippers are handcrafted tools that every quilter or sewer will appreciate. The wood used to make the handle is either from native Ozarks species or from the pruning of Olive trees grown in the Holy Land. As with all Sawyer Creek products, the finish is made from natural oils and waxes – in this case, a mixture of shellac and carnauba wax. Over time the wax may wear off, but the oil from the hand holding the ripper will add a nice patina to the handle. Handles are available in several wood species including; Cedar, Cherry, Locust, Oak, Olive, Sycamore, and Walnut.
